This Privacy Policy describes how QuotesPoint ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website at quotespoint.com (the "Site").

1. Who we are

QuotesPoint is a lead-generation service that connects consumers with insurance partners offering competitive quotes. We are not an insurance company, broker, or agent. We do not provide insurance policies ourselves.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

When you submit our quote-request form, we collect:

  • First name
  • Email address

We do not request or collect Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account numbers, or other sensitive personal information on our Site.

2.2 Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site we automatically collect:

  • IP address and approximate geographic location (country, region, city)
  • Browser type and user-agent string
  • Pages viewed, referring URL, and timestamps
  • Tracking parameters from advertising platforms (such as fbclid, utm_source, utm_campaign) when you arrive via an advertisement
  • Cookies and similar identifiers (see Section 6)

3. How we use information

We use your information to:

  • Connect you with our insurance partner, Champion Auto Insurance, to receive an auto insurance quote
  • Pre-fill our partner's quote form to reduce friction (your name and email are passed via URL parameters)
  • Track advertising effectiveness via server-side conversion events (Meta Conversions API and similar)
  • Improve the Site, measure performance, and prevent fraud
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms

4. Who we share information with

4.1 Insurance partner

When you submit our form, we share your first name and email address with Champion Auto Insurance so they can provide you with a quote. Their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policy at championautoinsurance.com.

4.2 Advertising platforms

We share hashed identifiers (such as SHA-256 hashes of your email) and event data with Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook/Instagram) via the Meta Conversions API to measure advertising effectiveness. This sharing uses irreversibly hashed values and helps us understand which advertisements perform.

4.3 Service providers

We use Cloudflare, Inc. to host the Site, manage DNS, and provide content delivery, security, and email forwarding services. Cloudflare processes data according to its own privacy policy.

4.4 Legal requirements

We may share information when required by law, in response to a valid legal request, or to protect our rights, the safety of our users, or the public.

4.5 We do not sell your personal information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. (See Section 8 for California-specific notice.)

5. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide our services. We retain anonymized analytics indefinitely. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time (see Section 7).

6. Cookies and tracking

We use first-party cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Maintain session state during your visit
  • Measure traffic and conversion performance (via Meta Pixel and Cloudflare Web Analytics)
  • Prevent fraud and abuse

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Site functionality.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Opt out of email communications (you can unsubscribe from any email we send)

8. California residents (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we have collected, the right to deletion, the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

9. Children's privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us at privacy@quotespoint.com.

10. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards (TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, scoped access controls) to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. International users

The Site is operated from the United States. If you access it from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different privacy laws than your country.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
